2023 paid marina PARKING
Paid parking at all Marina lots will begin on Friday, May 26, 2023, and continue through Monday, September 4, 2023. Much is staying the same for the 2023 parking program here at the Marina, and there are a few changes, which will be outlined below, or click here for FAQs.
During the October 11, 2022 Town Council meeting, Marina and Interstate Parking staff updated Council on the paid parking program at the Marina and on the Main Street three hour parking limit enforcement. The parking program at the Marina was intended as a way to promote turnover of spaces; encourage the use of public transportation, bikes, and walking; and to encourage those who are not primarily using Marina parking to access the Marina to park in other areas of town. Based on the data in the staff report from October 11 and the presentation to Town Council, Council indicated that they believed that many of these goals had been met, and that they largely wanted to keep the program the same with a few changes.

Thank You for Being Nimble and Embracing Change
The change to parking at the Marina was a challenging adjustment for some at first, and the Town acknowledges that reality and thanks the many who adjusted and flexed as we endeavored to make the experience at the Marina better for all of our customers. The Town observed that the turnover in parking due to paid parking did a lot to make parking more available at the Marina for all users, including those with boats at the Marina. The change this season to holiday rates and weekend/holiday parking for pass holders is intended to continue to encourage turnover and accommodate all of the customers who use the Marina on our busiest days.
Again, thank you for your flexibility and understanding as we sought to make the Marina experience better and more accessible for all of our customers.
